Amazing hes had 8 fun filled and exciting years to criticize our Dear Leader yet has remained mute until now. Ah, the opportunities he has willing passed up by drawing inane panels of animals gazing into underwear. We do not hear his words.
Picked up on BlmCty a few weeks ago. Enjoy the political play but find it a bit ‘cute.’ It lacks the breadth of characters, the caricatures of candidates, and the deep irony that was part of the best strip of its kind back in the day. Walt Kelly’s ‘Pogo’ still stands as the outstanding political satire in a strip, Wonder how he would depict this slate of goobers in this race that has become a farce.
All that Iowa political corn didn’t pop in New Hampshire. Bernie’s back and Hillery looks haggard ! Herr Hair is once again confounding the confused conservatives. Poor Marco has gone looking for polo in Palm Beach and Cruz is cruising in low gear. Kellog’s K may actually be accepted at the adult table, now !
Oh! what a tangled web we weaveWhen first we practise to deceive!
You do realize that, in employing a double negative, you have asked the author to humiliate the entire Midwest, right?
BTW, you may not know this, but Mr. Breathed hails from Broome County, NY, hence the name of his comic strip. Broome County is in the vicinity of Binghamton, a city in the far west of the state and roughly in the middle from North to South. It is largely an agricultural area, save for the huge, looming presence of IBM.
The people who read (and draw) this comic seemingly don’t actually follow the candidates. Only one candidate publicly opposed the ethanol mandates that enrich the Iowa corn farmers, and that candidate amazingly won the republican primary.

The more I hear about Iowa, the less I believe that a nice guy like Radar O’Reilly ever came from there.

Right, the corn growers should vote for MORE EPA regulations that shut down family farms.

Ever noticed how the only defense the Repubs have is “…but look at Hillary”, and the only defense Dems have is, “…but look at Donald” ?

BTW, Radar was in the Korean war as Corporal at the BEGINNING of the Korean war, so he would have been drafted 1949 or 1950

He probably joined the army before the war even started, for that matter, not expecting a war. (Nobody expects wars or the Spanish Inquisition…….)

Somebody will not be happy of the image of our corn farmer…
…wait for it.

This has always been one of my favorite strips, but I can definitely do without the left wing politics. The daily news is already OD’d on that.
