So true. The entire premise is absurd.

Batman has no special powers — just highly motivated, intelligent, and rich enough to buy or manufacture anything he wants. Superman has been able to defeat everyone (except, of course, Lex Luthor, a person with no special powers, just highly motivated, intelligent, and rich enough to buy or manufacture anything he wants).

If the movies only lasted 3 minutes that would be a very short short !

And yet, the trailer for such a movie would be four minutes.

Kryptonite. I’m not saying the stuff is used in the movie (I don’t know and frankly I don’t really care). But yeah, kryptonite is the answer.

Batman vs. Superman? That is a new low for Hollywood unfortunately it probably will make money.

The Batman and Superman franchises seem to have run their course, so now just put them together. Misery loves company.

The movies might be over in three minutes, but I bet the selection would be better.

Let’s also not forget that Superman will hold back, knowing that he COULD flatten Batman with one flick of his little finger. This knowledge is the edge Batman needs to get in there and do some damage—before Wonder Woman comes in (it’s not a spoiler, she’s in the trailer) and they all figure out who the REAL enemy manipulating them is and gang up on him/her/it/them/the collective hive-mind in a battle that SHOULD be over in two minutes, but will go on for at least ten…

When my husband and I watch TV (including movies on TV), our mantra is, “If there were no stupidity there would be no story.” ’Splains EVERY thing!

In the comics, Superman and Batman don’t always get along, and most of the time they tolerate each other. They’re on the same side, yes, but their crime-fighting philosophies are very different. Supes has been called a Boy Scout – by Batman, among others – and there’s truth to that. He’s doing it to help others. He’s doing it as payback to a planet that welcomed an orphan of Krypton with open arms, more or less.

Batman, however, is doing it because crime took away something he loved dearly, his parents. Batman is an instrument of vengeance.

What I find interesting is that DC is leading up to a live-action Justice League movie. Of course they are. A team movie is working great for the Competition.

To make an interesting story, the characters have to do stupid things. That’s different from just having stupid characters in a story.

Kind of like Bambi vs Godzilla.

Since I go back to the beginning on both characters I can state that they have always been friends since they first met. There have been manufactured conflicts whenever they needed to boost sales, but the underlying theme is that they both like and respect each other.I, for one, am not even going to see this movie.

How about a new character Toilet Snorkel Man

Batman did come up with a way to defeat every member of the JLA, including himself, in case any of them went rogue. Unfortunately one of the JLA’s enemy found the plan and used it against them.

In the comics, Superman did give Batman Kryptonite just in case someone took him over.

In the movie, Batman could have done his homework, lots of research could have led Bruce Wayne to see how the machines in Man Of Steel affected him, and deduced that maybe other things from Krypton might have a similar affect on him, leading him to find Kryptonite.

i find it funny that it’s coming out they same time as the Marvel Civil War film
