What I don’t understand was that Spicy was yelling at some of the gang on Sunday about sending Kiko and Esteban after Tracy. Spec obviously heard it because he told Spicy off for yelling at them, but now he is very surprised to find out that Tracy is in Cuba. For me, this sequence of events doesn’t quite line up. Yeah, I suppose that Specs is quite clueless.

Spicy’s sweat made her turtleneck turn black in the first panel!

That’s dark shadows under her chin from the bright sunshine. They are also visible on the front of her head which is in shadow since the sun is behind her. I imagine it’s very hot there.

Does Mendoza want Specs to stare at Tracy till Tracy gets cancer from an overdose of X-Rays?

    Insidious!

Tracy’s shirt collar lost it’s trim in panel two.

It’s not a mistake. Those tiny details are not very visible at that distance. They could be coloured differently, but the colourist usually needs lines to change colours.

Notta’s involvement in Tracy’s kidnapping seems less likely today.

I don’t buy it. When last we saw the detectives they were very confident and it all looked under control. Tracy isn’t a prisoner, this is a trick. (But I’m preared to be wrong!)

I’m thinking the Apparatus has a Havana branch, and it’s payback time.

Why does Dishonest John want to kill Dick Tracy? I don’t see the motive.

For a guy who can see through walls, Spec sure missed a lot of clues…

This is going to be a multi-message post, since my computer is acting up. there seems to be some program running which is slowing everything down.@avenger09 Another nice poem.

@✯✯ Vista Bill ✯✯ Good morning to you and all Tracy fans, including Gweedo and AnyFace.

@Neil Wick Thank you for the link to the article about Cuba and the casinos. The story pace has really picked up today. They are already south of Havana and have met up with Tracy. Spicy is looking exceptionally cute in Panel 3.

There’s a growing sense of foreboding for the “clueless” couple. Is DJ going to bump them off when he’s done with them?

    (re: late last night)

Now that you point it out, I agree that Mendoza does bear some resemblance to James Victor’s character, Sgt. Mendoza, on Zorro.

Sorry Neil but I think you’re trying to hard to explain away these mistakes. We’ll just have to agree to disagree.

None of the things you pointed out look like mistakes to me. I think you’re just trying hard to find mistakes where none exist. I’ll agree to disagree on this.

I wonder if Sam and Lizz are working on solving the robberies that Specs scouted out for the Apparatus? Does the Major Crime Squad even know that the Apparatus is back in business and might be involved? Seems to me the Mayor would be more interested in solving these crimes more than retrieving Diet Smith’s stolen glasses. Yet nothing has been said about this in over a month. I hope they get back to that because I think that would be an interesting story.

    ONLY 37 Posts today ???

One might ‘suspect’ Joe’d ‘foreseen’ this too . . . ?His Suns aren’t shining TOO “brightly” today in panels 1 and 3 ?

One might interpret that as almost inaudible, yet ‘telling’ signal from the Grand Master.

Seems avenger too, had picked up a few ‘off course’ expressions’ above. *. . .Like the missing Tie, and that ‘blackened’ turtle-neck ! (?)

So, what has DJ ordered Mendoza and the other flunky to do? Execute Specs and Spicy in this remote place and then kill Tracy, setting it up to look as though the victims killed each other? Why? For whom is DJ working? Where are Wunbrow and Ivanov? Will there be a dramatic rescue tomorrow (or later this week)? So many questions, so little time….

he is just spoiling for conflict.

    .

Well, there might be some truth to this comment if there was anyone left to jostle with! Gweedo, you know very well that all those who enjoyed a good back and forth have either been vaporized, in deep, deep hiding or have been lobotimized! In my opinion all we’re left with is a Vanilla ice cream board where absolutely nothing remotely controversial is permitted. I mean, Neil and I expressed a difference of opinion today and we handled it like mature adults. What’s all the fuss about? The numbers certainly prove my point. The Dick Tracy comments board was once the place to be and now it’s a shell of it’s former self. The biggest topic is, “Good morning, how’s everyone doing?”This is just an opinion yet unfortunetly I risk censorship or banishment for it.Peace out and Groovy ya’ll!
