I don’t do JUMBLES. It is too much work to only be rewarded with a pun below Pastis.

My Mom solved the Jumble while her breakfast toast was cooking.

I’m with Nate. Everyone reads something. I would have pegged Mrs. C. for a Mary Worth or Apartment 3-G kind of gal. Maybe she quit when Brenda Starr was discontinued.

Somebody needs to draw some fresh Get Fuzzy strips, might as well be Nate.

Mr Lincoln, I’d be curious to know what your favourite comic strips are. I like Thimble Theatre and Sappo by E.C. Segar, Peanuts, Calvin and Hobbes, and The Far Side (and of course Big Nate!).

I hate to be a party pooper, but did the school get in touch with his father? After all, he did vandalized a school desk! I remember when I went to school in the 1960’s and 70’s, where I had desks that were severely scratched.

Personally, I would’ve been curious to see pics of Bucky, or Pinkish (a.k.a. Rob).

Nice reference to a fun strip, though, Lincoln.

Ah yeah, Get Fuzzy, another good comic strip! Too bad its daily comics are still on hiatus. I’m quite amazed that Nate would try to draw one of its characters. Pearls Before Swine creator Stephan Pastis said that it was extremely hard to draw them and wonders how Get Fuzzy creator Darby Conley draws them every day..

Hi Mr.Pierce. My siblings and I have grown up on your books and love them very much. So I was wondering what your inspiration was for the Big Nate series? Keep at the good work!
