Lizzy, ask Paula how many runs her nylons have earned today the next time you are in school.

That’s right. As long as your feet are in the shoes, no one will know how many holes the socks have.

I hate nylons but love tights

Good work Elly. It was high time to put your foot down and get the message to Elizabeth that since you and your husband pay for the clothes in this house, she is dependent. She only gets to wear the clothes you approve of. If she really wanted her own clothes, she would have to find a way to earn the money herself to buy them.

Lynn is using the generic term “nylons” for any type of sheer stocking or knee sock or the tights that we all love. She’s not referring to the nylons that women wore very long time ago. Anyway, I remember when those sheer tights were invented and we all thought that they were the best thing since sliced bread. When the sheer knee sock came in, I haven’t bought a pair of tights since then. Luckily, that was past the mini skirt age for me.

… so what’s the big deal?

LoboGrandeAs stated recently, she is in Grade 1, as Canadians say.

So, I guess I don’t get it. It’s just pantyhose. Let her have a some and after a couple days of dealing with how ridiculous they are to deal with she won’t want them anymore. I don’t know, it seems like making a huge deal out of nothing.
