    VistBill advised me:

Use a mirror. That way you’ll have a picture of your camera and the mirror at the same time. If the burglar steals the camera and leaves the mirror behind, you’ll know the burglar was Count Dracula (or one of a million other vampires).

Good advice, as long as DT doesn’t take the case. “Okay, Thompson, why did you claim to have lost a Canon camera when the picture shows that you owned a Nonac? And why did you part your hair on the right side for this picture?”

I read DT first - to get the pain out of the way – so I didn’t get your joke until I read today’s Brewster.

I think Tracy should try to figure out Rory’s magic tricks over at The Barn – but that would probably be too much for that great detective!

“What happened to my husband, Defective Tracy” “You see I’m terribly old and really spacey” A clue to you I will provide He crossed over the great divide He shuffled off his mortal coil A condition he couldn’t foil On a slab he does repose Where he proceeds to decompose Oh, but what a terrible fate For him to become the very late Death has snatched him from this life Leaving behind his grieving wife And nothing can bring him back Except the writing of a hack So is Trey-D dead or is he alive Man, I’m not hep to Lochers’ jive So tomorrow we’ll see more of the same And that’s a pity and a shame.

    Thank you, margueritem and marvee.

Good to see you back. As I said before, you provide “poetic justice” to this strip.

Panel 3: Now I know why Tracy squints all the time: he’s afraid Dick Locher’s signature is going to poke him in the eye.

What is that line that runs across panel two?

Penny is really trying to say, “What’s happened to my money, Detective Macy?” With that kind of money, she’d make one world-class cougar!

What *is* that horizontal thing running all the way from side to side of Panel 2? It looks like a shelf, supported by a bracket on the left, with a model house and trees on it.

Somebody has Alzheimer, and I don’t think it’s the comic characters. We’ve been through this already. Enough with the wasted space and dialog.

Cougar: you are right; this scene takes place in a tiny model house on a shelf. In an unfortunate side-effect of the 3D process, Madame D’Bucksworth has become dimensionally unstable, constantly changing both her own size and that of people and things in the vicinity. Later in the story, she and Tracy will miniaturize themselves and take a Fantastic Voyage style journey through the butterfly tattoo…

OK, I’m calling this one now. 3-D is the homeless guy, he took his own money and disappeared of his own accord. Locher is going to completely forget that there is NO CRIME anywhere in that and end this with some kind of ridiculous shoot out.

What about the body in the swamp, you ask? Well, the ONE thing that might have involved some criminal activity will be completely forgotten by Locher, just like the body that’s still laying on the stage at the science museum.

Hey! Maybe it’s the SAME body.

Locher is clearly ignoring all the ‘shaking sticks in the barrel’ here (Brozman’s cowering in his Comic Shop everytime he ventures to read this board - Sorry Jim, NO good news!)

Locher’s just laughing at us (his last act of ‘nonchalance’ and ‘superiority’) an act of defiance thinking he’s having FUN, as with effete triviality he places those silly PUNS in the comic strip every day.

In panel 2, the crossing gate is down so we can hope that the passengers on the Amtrak train coming through are more interesting than the characters in this story.

Dr. Midnight posted: “Maybe it’s the SAME body.”

Hmm … nobody ever examined the body on the stage for tattoos or scars, did they? And it was never disposed of properly, as far as we know. Somebody could have dragged it off the stage and thrown it into a swamp when we weren’t watching. It would be a bit decomposed by now….

The line across panel 2- a straight edge on the drawing board. That’s what make the art so good!
