Awww this is sweet!

That is just too cute!

Free passes to ballroom dance classes. It’s almost guaranteed.

That is so sweet……..

If only all couples could be that humble and unguarded, more families would stay together. You never know when you’ll wish you had said those things.

It’s nice seeing a strip that doesn’t end with Jon making a joke at her expense.

This kind of important communication doesn’t happen that often. Both people have to be honest and caring, not trying to act smarter or funnier than the other. And then they have to risk. And then it ends up really wonderful. It happens less often than it should, but if it happens to us in any context and we respond properly, we have done good.

Not sure what the haters are going to find here!

The boyish smile in panel 3 says it all.

She has to love him. She’s still with him even though he’s said some pretty stupid and insensitive things.

Next question: How many miles did John have to walk to school? He does not talk about that with Elly, but there are some strips where he locks horns with Michael, accusing him of being a go-nowhere. John tells his son that when he was in high school he was involved in sports and Boy Scouts.

Why can’t people just comment on the comic at hand,with out dragging all their baggage from years gone by into the scenario,huh?

All relationships can use some more honesty in them.

The better relationships start as platonic, then one day realize that they’re both in love with each other..

John, remember this moment when you’re tempted to belittle your wife. It will act as a barrier to your normal jack-assedness. Jus sayin.
