I had cataract surgery on my right eye on March 15th…My left eye will be on April 19th. What a difference. I drive without glasses with still one eye to go.
Been there, done that Vegas Viper ! Started with the left eye, and when the Doc took of the patch the next morning; WOW ! just the colors in the room blew me away ! Wish that I’d done it five years sooner !
My eye doc told me I just have the beginning of a cataract in one eye, but it’s not time for surgery yet. I dread the time when I have to have it, though. Scared silly might describe it better.
Think carefully about having your vision “corrected”. It’s easy to think ‘what a good idea’. I regret dozens of times daily that I did. I was very nearsighted and thought ‘how nice to get that taken care of’… however I can NO longer see anything up close.. even with ‘cheaters’.. such as a lash in the eye, a hangnail needing trimming or a splinter needing removal without using a jewelers head magnifier that allows you to use both hands. No good for things like putting on mascara etc. SO sad I went that way…. thought about it several days but it sounded so nice to have ‘normal’ vision.
Wish I’d just have the cataracts taken care of… it did make a huge difference in color. I realized I was seeing the sky with a deep greenish cast rather then blue.
Still, if that was the only way to correct the color I’d have left it alone.

Thanks for all your reassurances about cataract surgery being not so bad. It makes me feel a whole lot better!
