Gene’s hair is blond. Well 3 days ago it was.

Keep in mind that the comic strip artist often does not colorize the weekday strips (only Sunday). Perhaps whomever is colorizing this week is mistaking Gene for Arlo.

I like Gene blonde. It contrasts well in the strip.

“Meg’s Vegs”? People would stop just to ask how to pronounce it.

perhaps, as someone alluded, there’s a new colorist on board who isn’t familiar with Gene’s hair color being closer to Janis’ than Arlo’s.

We all eventually become our parents…

I wonder how long it will be before the USDA, state health departments or local zoning authorities step in and put stumbling blocks in front of Gene et al. with their nanny-state regulations?

As far as the coloring goes, does anyone really believe that the comic artist gives no direction to the colorists, and doesn’t care what they decide looks good? I would certainly get upset if my strip began to look vastly different than what I had imagined it should be.

“Day’s End” Their last name and when the harvest is done. Plus when customers stop by on the way home frome work.

They have been at it since August so how about the name “AUGUST’S HARVEST”?

I like all the suggestions for the name of the stand. However, I thought because “Our Line” has quotes around it that it was being suggested as a name. Whatever. They’re all good.

“Meg’s College Fund”

Former Pass Christianers… Now in Maryland. We suggest “Empty Pockets”, for the Farm Stand. It was the name of a long gone Farm Stand and some very good people who would drive over from the Eastern Shore on Sundays.

Maybe he just had it colored. Ladies change their hair color all the time. Not me though.

I thought the last panel was trying to tell us something, like “Obviously they should name it ‘Window’!” But it’s just Jimmy Johnson being his usual vague and confusing self, I think.
