Interesting strip, isn’t it? Later on, Charlie Brown would be the one with the dream, and Lucy (who Violet is very like) perhaps in her booth, would be the one with the sassy remarks.

She was dreaming about buying a stairway to heaven. Couldn’t resist.

My husband has never had a dream. He was even tested at UCLA. It’s an odd, but not unheard of, phenomenon. Maria Von Trapp also didn’t dream.

This is one of my all-time Schulz favorites. I have been using that line, “It means you were asleep” for 30 years and getting laughs from others who feel the same as CB!!

Charlie Brown appears to breaking the fourth wall here. Does anyone recall any other case of this in Peanuts?
