kind of a shock to see a realistic bird alongside Snoopy .. but this gag mightn’t have worked as well with the ‘Woodstock-styled’ birds who’ll come along later.
The very reason I never wanted to be the early bird. Give me coffee and scones any morning.
The early worm becomes bird food!
Somehow a lot of these early strips look better in the original uncolored version. I remember this one well.
It’s strange that a species that drinks out of toilets would gag at a bird eating a worm.
