I don’t mind, as long as it’s not a Gypsy Moth caterpillar. I was a teenager when the big Gypsy Moth Caterpillar “plague” happened. You couldn’t walk anywhere without crunching hundreds of those little buggers under your feet, and every tree had a plastic-wrap wrapping around the middle of the trunk. shudder
Had something similar happen to me when I was three years old. In my case, it was a black cicada with red eyes, out looking for love, cranked up to eleven. I was suspicious of that particular stretch of sidewalk next to the shrubs between us and our neighbor’s place for years afterwards…
