Just realised something. I know that the Soviet Union went through a number of leaders in quick succession at the time, but Gorbachev didn’t become the president until 1985. Why didn’t Oliver use Andropov or Chernenko or whoever it was?

Those wacky soviets. Always pranking the proletariat.
