I have said it before and I’ll say it again: “Abstract Impressionism” was a scam; sick of the dealers, buyers, and critics who built their self- and public images on pretending to understand whatever any artist was saying with their work, Pollack, Klee, et al decided to see how ridiculous they could get before one of the posers said “I don’t get it”.
The answer turned out to be “sillier than they could get”.
Some people should not be allowed to teach art history. Some works should not be incorporated into the canon of art just because their makers pronounced them “art”….

I know art when I see it, and I hate most of it as bullcrap.

I had no idea that pink snow bunnies would even want to walk up and bite someone on the azz.

Ha! Berkeley Breathed really plagiarized himself with this one!
Okay, okay. Let’s say that this is just a “remake” of an old The Academia Waltz strip, back from… 1978 apparently?

Of course BB has the right to “remake” his strips if he thinks it’s appropriate. I’m not judging, just reporting.
I love how the artist’s name changed from Harlod Gookman to Pablo Gookman. I wonder why.

From the look on the kid’s face and the hand gesture, that is not the title of the piece.

How many artists, writers and musicians put things into their works they never intended to that had to be revealed, even to them, by their critics?

“Feeling” an image? What kind of mental illness and substance ingestion DO these types of artists engage in?

Why did they call them “Madonna wanna-bees?” Why didn’t they call them “pre-Madonnas?”

Gookman clearly needed glasses…and not full of some liquid fortification! (Seems he’s already dipped into that!)

Would you recognize it
If it came to you in the middle of the night?
Would you recognize it
If it jumped up and bit you in the ass?

Why is the teacher speaking with a German accent? Or is that only in my head :)
