Today’s strip reeks of nostalgia for me. Not only because of the topic, but back in the mid-fifties I had a Red Devil Halloween costume just like that.

So, the people warning about secular humanists in 1987 were right. Well, not about the shoulder pads.

It’s a little eerie how things come back around.

I would like to see a strip where Opus confuses Pat Robertson with Robert Pattinson.

Socialism is an emotional choice, not a logical one.

Remarkably bad taste and reprehensibly tone deaf to re-run this one within a few days of Pat Robertson’s death. Shame on you. Not to mention that secular humanist “Godless society based on pure logic” is instead in its current configuration a “Godless society based on pure political allegiance”. Shame on us for replacing our values with partisanship.

Opus is correct. Loving Pat Robertson is/was illogical.

Fascinating because Roddenberry identified as a secular humanist. And was woke as he could be in public and more so in private. And Happy Captain Picard Day. LLAP __\\//
