on lawrence welk they once sang ‘one toke over the line’ -you can find it on you tube, but clearly they had no clue what the song was about. welk got upset at too much ankle and i think it was the line ‘sweet jesus’ that tricked him. what i would love to know is, did the guy who suggested the song know what it was and wanted to put it over on the boss.
