I read an article in the local newspaper once, about how local drug dealers would give 8- or 9-year olds $100 to stand on street corners and keep an eye out for the cops. And I thought, d@mn, how many grownups would pass on that, let alone kids?

That article was over 35 years ago now, to put the cash in perspective.

In current times, a republican congressman from Georgia wants kids getting free lunches to work at McDonalds to pay for them. Child labor laws notwithstanding,if our president can work the fryer a nine year old should have no problems.

Described as both “making $20K a week” and “underclass”. Ummm……you couldn’t make this stuff up….
