SHEIK I used to sing that in the Spring in a cold white building with wooden benches. What if I took offence? I sure give offence. And what band did Sting play with before he went solo?
Dr. Mel: “HEY, WINKY! THOSE CRITTERS YOU’RE SURROUNDED BY? IT TURNS OUT THAT LOUD NOISES MAKE THEM HOSTILE! SO WHATEVER YOU DO, BE VERY, VERY QUIET!!!”
By the way, wait until you find out how big scorpions really got back in the day. Giant scorpions, dragonflies and millipedes… were any of them running around today, I don’t think Phylum Mammalia would fare very well, except as lunch.
Right. I was still thinking of Mammalia though; most of the other Chordata are lower on my personal totem pole.
Class Mammalia, then.
I read in Reader’s Digest many moons ago how a college English professor challenged one of his students to define “mammal”. The student (a boy) came back with something like, “Uh, it’s hairy… it has a hard skeleton… and, uh, it gives milk.”
“So far,” snapped the professor, “you haven’t eliminated the coconut.”
There are several interesting references to who played the accordion when and to what degree of fame, here. I’m ashamed of myself for not remembering They Might Be Giants.
GoComics occasionaly has glitches in the update process. Happened to “Frank and Ernest” for a few days a week or so ago.
Today’s “Brewster Rockit” is available on comics.com
Tomorrow’s, if necessary, will be here when the time comes.
I’ll email GoComics about “Brewster Rockit” not updating. It would probably be a good idea if some other people did as well. Use the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the page.

It’s really “Feed a cold and feed a fever”. It’s not good to not eat either way.
