Holly could steer, but that looks like the only control she had over the vehicle. It looks like she will have had a bad landing.

(Past tense, because this is a Ditto created flash-back)

Brakes? We don’t need no stinkin’ brakes!

She only has to take the wheel until Doc Chase mutates and comes back around healed from his near brush with death.

Oh look! A drive in! No? Oh dear… Hope that vehicle has an automated landing system. ;-)

Darn backseat drivers.

If he was a real doctor, he’d have a flying Delorean.

I like the flying box van in the first panel. So is she going to add to her guilt and take out the people in the cafe? or is she going to try to “park” below them? I hope doc changes fast…before someone comes for them after the crash.

It’s the end of the world as we know it, and apparently the diners feel fine.

Maybe that’s where she gets her waitressing skills.

I’m not a pilot but I was aircrew on military aircraft. I have been on a couple of “good” landings. When you are certain that you are about to “buy the farm” and the pilot pulls out a good landing, you buy him a bottle of his favorite booze.

No good showing her driver’s licence…she probably doesn’t look like the picture anymore.

Holly can steer….her issue is the pedal controls for going up and down and slowing down.I suggest she looks for a good place to crash…..like the local hospital emergency entrance.

The city is burning. Explosions are occurring. The clients at the bar continue to enjoy cocktail hour.A song plays on the open air waves.“Its the end of the world as we know it.”“And I feel fine…….”

She did a bang up good job missing that building! Now if she can level it out..As human Holly she was a competent driver, but her car was quite a bit different in it’s propeller placement, she might have trouble with the controls, if she can even reach them.Thankfully she has a different body, she won’t have to heal up from given birth. She might find hopping over the seat-back an easy job.

I don’t know what’s scaring me more…Holly’s desperate attempt at backseat driving, or the fact that people are dining while enjoying the view of the end of the world as they know it.

Tbh it looks rather cartoony that way she steers.

Not to mention that Apex had her and Lyn on the payroll in exchange for their silence regarding the mutagen, and months later that silence is coming at a far higher price than she anticipated.

The car is on anthro-pilot.

Of course, when Holly lands, she’s going to have to run from any Buddibombs that see her.

And when she pulls herself out of the wreckage, she’ll have to explain that all the blood is only from a bullet wound and childbirth. Any other details she adds are up to her.

So THAT’s how her tail got to lookin’ like that!!

I wonder how altitude/climb/descent is handled in one of these. In aircraft with a yoke (wheel) pulling back on the yoke pulls the nose up causing the plane to slow down and climb (if you have enough airspeed) and pushing forward causes the nose to drop, making the plane descend and accelerate. I wonder if aircars have a telescoping steering column so that pulling back makes the car rise and pushing forward makes it descend. Otherwise there would be some form of lever or pedal to take care of this.

The diners may be acting like the explosions are no big thing because for them they’re no big thing. BuddiBombs have been out for awhile and have probably been going off for awhile, as they’re supposed to. In the real world, we don’t worry about sirens unless they’re headed toward our own homes. Police shootings happen regularly, and we expect violence from criminals. Car crashes happen constantly, but we still cross busy streets to get to Starbucks. In Hillside, an explosion means someone was protected from an intruder and the police and the building’s automated fire control will take care of it. It’s just another car crash to them. A city the size of Hillside will have bombs going off regularly as a matter of course.

I think I noticed something Aaron overlooked. (No, I’m not drinking.) All the flying vehicles have signal lights for left and right, but I don’t seen any lights for up and down.

Holly looks like crap

I notice she has three fingers now, as well as a fully developed tail. Up till now she has had four fingers. Her transformation is complete.
