    We used to live near the Burbank airport and had some dogs that would flatten out on the ground when a plane was on approach to landing. .

    Reminds me of staying at the Virginia Beach KOA. Oceana Naval Air Station jets flew over constantly on practice runs and the noise was super loud. But it was interesting to count the rivets on the bottom of the jets !

    People go to the airport perimeter road to watch the planes come in. At this house, they can charge for that experience.

    San Diego is pretty scary from the ground and I am told by pilots that Catalina is a scary place to land.

    @ Dani Rice: That Gilbraltar airport looks like it was built as a cruel joke. All you need is one loony on the roadway to think they can beat the plane as it crosses by on the runway. Nuts.
