If a monkey swung down on a vine or something and smashed into the wall between the two windows, that would be interfenestral. But there would be no window penetration.
What’s odd is that while “defenestration” means being thrown out a window, “fenestration” doesn’t mean being stuffed into a window. It actually means the practice of deciding where to place the windows in a building..I was the one who supplied that answer in a team trivia contest a couple of years ago. I think we came in fifth.
