Pat the Bunny doesn’t work too well on the Kindle.

Never mind that, what is the puppy poking? Kids’ literature is so filthy. I remember the first thing they taught me to read was, “See Dick.”

Yeah, but you try getting one of those kid’s pop-up books on your Kindle. Whenever I read articles about reading books on a Kindle, I think of *Fahrenheit 451, although lately it reminds me of that pastor who’s planning to have a Koran bonfire, even though everyone from the President to the commander in the field have asked him not to. He should have introduced a minor typo and called it a Korean barbecue instead.

I wonder if there is a stick of dynamite in one of Jones’ gift Korans. He should worry.

@GoodQuestion - I wondered if I was the only one who noted that resemblance - both truly wacko!

@Bargrove, dynamite does not explode with a flame. It only explodes with mechanical shock. The fuse you see pictured so often is for the blasting cap - a small amount of gunpowder or similar to provide a nice mechanical shock to trigger the dynamite. The blasting caps are stored separately from the dynamite until ready for use.

Liquid nitro glycerine (the explosive in dynamite) is quite touchy - a bump can set it off. You don’t want to transport a tank of it. The genius of dynamite is to mix it with clay, so that it can be safely transported by truck, and requires a blasting cap to set it off. A collision at highway speed could still set off a truck load, however.

Edcole1961 get your mind out of the gutter. I remember reading The Poky Little Puppy with my sister when she was little. They mean the dog is a slow poke and he couldn’t keep up with his brothers and sisters. I believe they slowed down to play with him cuz they didn’t want to leave him behind, but I forget how it ended.
