Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
There was a House episode where this man’s left(?) hand operated independently of his right hand, right up to smacking his fiancee across the chops. They couldn’t figure it out until they determined the hand was trying to alert everyone of the sickness. Once done the hand calmed down, made up with the fiancee and behaved, hopefully happily everafter.
Meanwhile, back in Cleveland…Nighthawks and Stel Bel are trampling on Warner Bros copyrights, comfortable in the knowledge that WB lawyers will never see this post:
Not only do we have an exciting new BatBasset adventure… there’s a famous guest star, too….
Appearing out of the clear blue sky… okay, then, against the clear blue sky…
in the August 20th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” on Sherpa!
Â
Thank you, Nighthawks….
I LOVE BatBasset and Sparrow!
And what a great job on our special guest, too!
Makes me want a carrot.
Â
Dennis, and anyone concerned about Warner Brothers….
I know they’re a big, powerful studio, that could crush a little Sherpa cartoonist like …. like… a carrot in a juicer.
Not to mention their subsidiary, DC Comics, which might have its own Bat-blade in the machine.
Â
But Holy Megaconglomerate, Cleo readers… there’s a protector on hand… like having a superhero in the wings.
It’s called the Doctrine of Fair Use…
and it will protect Nighthawks, and BatBasset, and Sparrow….
and even that wascally pawody of a wabbit…
from the jaws of a fierce cartoon-grinder.
Â
Parody is fair use…
especially since in a trial, were there to be such a silly thing, no attempt could be proved on Nighthawks’ part to deter any purchasers from buying any actual Warner or DC products….
which is important if they even try to sue under Fair Use.
From what I’ve heard, Disney is more diligent at going after offenders… but even so, it’s hard for them to prevail, unless the use was obviously egregious.
Nighthawks can stand on his tiny bit of borrowed Sherpa ground, and shake his fist at those maroons at WB, with impunity.
Love, love, love this episode!!!! (can you tell?) And the guest star is the perfect touch. And then the Obi-wan Kenobi line was over the top. Good job Nighthawks and StelBel. What fun!
Maybe if those two maroons had taken a right turn at Koo-Ka-Monga, they would have ended up on the main page. Instead, they will remain on Sherpa, forever.

Read the Bible, fool! “let not thy left hand know what thy right hand is doing?”

All kinds of trouble comes from taking partial quotes from the Bible out of context.

Left hand is certainly digging in to the chair! Has right hand had a turn yet? OK already, give Left a turn. Then he can shut up.

Left hand looks to be getting a little upset! Bob had better watch out, or there’s gonna be another fight like last night.

Bat Basset and Sparrow meet a familiar famous funny fellow on their way up.
Now we’re talking!
Even the guest star’s posture is pictured perfectly.

The right hand knows what the left hand is doing….and it wants a piece of the action.

Good Morning Ballardeers and P51! Q-date 161.98238.22 and last decent morning for a while. Heat’s on the way.
Kewl purplie poster and animation with a guest star. One nit. I took a left at Albuquerque, and there were no buildings, much less multi-story ones.
Y’all be the best you can be. (((((HUGS)))))
