Now I know which kind of sign to use in this election.

That threw me at first but a magnifier clued me in that the copyright is 1963.

I will now start a massive fight in the comment section with one word (hopefully) brexit

Peanuts.com says this strip appeared first on July 1 1968. So, after following the 1969 timeline for a while, we jumped back a year. Obviously because of the election year.

@noribori you are exactly right on that it was a 1969 timeline. in fact it was a timeline that ended up in a collection I owned as a kid called “Peanuts Treasury”, so it was fun to see these again

Woodstock’s sign is very apropos for this year’s election.

Today starts the lost 3 weeks of 1968 Peanuts strips bumped last year in favor of 1969 Peanuts strips – mostly relating to the election year.

It would be impossible for Snoopy to not know in 2016.

I started randomly clicking through the recent years of strips and noticed the 1969 strips were run in 2005 as well. They were colored somewhat differently, however. I don’t know why the same years of Peanuts are run repeatedly when they’ve got so many to choose from. . .

Yep. You have to have no brain to vote for either of the main candidates.

@Larry the fantasticNo fighting in the comments section after all! For me, I was in favor of Scotland leaving the UK and in favor of the UK staying in the EU (for at least a year or so). To me at least both seemed logical at the time. (Then again, I’m in the colonies instead of the mother country so my opinion isn’t worth a Woodstock sign!)

I wish I could forget.
