I could bump our cat with the vac, and he didn’t care. Son pulled into the driveway too fast one day, narrowly missing the sleeping cat—-who got up and walked away leaving tail hair under a front wheel. I thought the cat was deaf, but if you called him. he’d respond. He was just the coolest cat ever.
Our first pair of bunnies…I’d say, “Mommy’s going to make noise now!” and show them the vacuum cleaner, and they would take off for their hiding spot under a cardboard box. When I was done, I’d say, “Mommy’s done making noise now!” and they’d cautiously come out. With our second pair we lived with hardwood floor, and actually swept their rugs. We now have one bunny, and he seems unfazed by the little Dyson. Same hardwood floors, same little rugs, we are just way older. (Bunnies live a long time, thankfully!)
Our cat, Edna, an orange tabby, would lay on our bed and let us vacuum her. We’d flip her over and do her other side. Ditto with the back massager. She just loved any kind of care and attention. She was almost 19 when we lost her to kidney disease. I miss her a lot.

My cats are weird. They have no fear of the vacuum whatsoever.

Interesting comments aside, I don’t get the joke here. Arlo’s “no wonder” comment doesn’t compute.
