Mrs. Angelini: I need special olives! Olives from Puglia. The best. I can only get them in South Philly. Heart: That's not true! I bet you anything I can find them somewhere online! We could save a ton of time! Mrs. Angelini: Yeah, but I'm not so sure the time we save is worth the life we miss.

There’s a special miso soup I like to get at the grocery store, but my nearby grocery store (Fred Meyer) doesn’t carry it. So I have to go to the farthest grocery store (Albertson’s; still within walking distance) to get it. It’s Marukome.

Hey, I like the last panel! And if you were in Vancouver, BC, it would be on Commercial Drive. (Affectionately known as: “The Drive.”)

I plan to grow my own plants. That way, I don’t have to go to those busy grocery stores.

There’s some great experiences to be had in large cities, but it best to go with someone local who knows where and where not to go (and when). Safer, and they can show you the non-touristy attractions.

Agreed Mrs. Angelini.

I work at Lowe’s, and one thing I often say to people is that if we don’t have it in the store, we might have it on our website. More often than not, people say that they need it today, not in a week..The greatest advantage of a store: you can take your purchase home now, today, as soon as you pay for it. And that is why the internet will not replace stores and malls.

Hmmm. While it’s important that Heart learn new things, Mrs. A. is giving up an opportunity to learn something new from Heart.

Words to live by: the time we save may not be worth the life we miss. I like that!

Besides, I’m guessing Mrs. Angelini needs those olives now; and I don’t know if Amazon delivers within an hour in Philly. They just started that operation in Baltimore.

I got a feeling Mrs, Angelini & Heart are taking a trip over to this market: http://italianmarketphilly.org/shop-and-dine/
