My mom used to confuse me and my brother when she was mad…and I think that just made her madder…because then we’d snicker (before we learned to try to hide it).

I had to check the “Thanks to” box to make sure it wasn’t from my dad.

You know you are in trouble when called to heel by both your first and middle name.

ONce I was yelling at one of my kids to behave and he was totally ignoring me until I realize I had the wrong name.

You all are lucky. My mother never did get name right even after going thru the others.

I’m the 3rd son in the family. Oldest was named FD the 3rd, next was named after maternal grandfather, then I was allegedly named after Dad’s favorite comic strip Terry & the pirates. Of course he also had a dog named Terry when he was a kid also. Hmmm…

And after one’s mother has called the names she remembers 3 times or more, she ends with ‘and the other kid.’

My Mom was so upset with me one time, she finally called me the dog’s name, at which time I promptly barked at her. She was not amused, but I was.

I just got my kids mixed up, I would correct mid-name and use the correct end of the name of the one I was taking to at the end of the first part of the other’s name—like JO-OB for John and Bob
