The Japanese kid’s bento boxes that I’ve seen on the internet are amazing….but I think even the ol’ PBJ or bologna lunch started to improve when Baggies were invented…Even before ziplocks… even before "fold-lock tops…they came on a roll…

But when one day your peanut butter sandwich wasn’t half-dried-out and leaking jam onto your napkin, cos its waxed paper wrapping was unfolding…when it was already squished under the apple in that brown paper bag….that was great.

Emily is raring to go! She is ready for training camp to start for the Ballard Streat Women’s All Female Flag Football League to start.This season she is hoping to make back-up Quarterback for the South Ballard Streat She Devils.

52 days until the pre-season games. She’s ready. Time for Howard to get in some shape besides round.

Another hot day in Texas. 100 with a THI of 110. Muggy does not define it…….just looking at work makes you sweat and that is inside!!We did Crowd control drills today over at Fort Wolters in Mineral Wells old military base known for the Army Helicopter training school. Before that an Army training base known for two persons. Audie Murphy and Eddie Slovik…..one got the medal of honor…..the other was shot for desertion. Neat history.Silly girl…..does she not know this is baseball season….no wait duck season…..ummmmm rabbit season…….soccer?? handball……..60 below in Antarctica and dark……..winter in Brazil for the Summer Olympics??

Just a heads up…. I can tell that “Richard” is the man we have known as “Veteran.” His name is Richard… hope he changed his user name on purpose.I gotta run… I work the Wednesday night farmer’s market…but I’ll be back for my shift..hopefully with tomatoes to make you a tomato pie.
