RE: stinking football season: AMEN!!!!!!!!

football (US style and Canadian style) is only two days a week usually. Baseball, Hockey & Basketball on the other hand are 7 days a week. I don’t mind football so much except the other sports now run into football time. I think baseball should be over as football starts, and basketball & hockey can run concurrently after football is done, then baseball can take back over when basketball & hockey are done. Makes perfect sense to me! (and saves on the remote buttons…..)

I do have to agree! Football is stupid. Soccer is just as stupid. A bunch of brainless idiots running behind a ball, and when the finally have it, they throw or kick it away… A dog has more sense, he/she brings it back to the thrower :-)

BTW have you ever heard a sensible sentence coming out of a football/ soccer player?? they say 15 words and of those 15 at least 10 are the same: “uh ”

I’m so glad I don’t have to watch sports anymore.

I used to throw anti-Super Bowl parties for football widows. They were great, but three years the cops came.

American Football is too much like the place I work. Too much time spent talking about what they’re going to do, too little time actually doing it, too little progress for the time invested, too many powerful people working to impede progress, and too many people scrutinizing everything you do to make sure you didn’t violate some rule.

Can’t drum up any sympathy here. In my relationships, I’VE usually been the one glued to the set on Sundays watching TV, while my guys were “football widowers”.

Thank heavens for cable TV and TiVo! I have more than adequate shows to watch without ever seeing a sporting event. I even FF over sports in the morning news (because I watch with a delay).

I agree! I may have called my sister that (when we were children, of course!) but I’ve otherwise never called anybody that in my life! If I had so little regard for them that I not only thought they were a “dummy” but I also couldn’t resist calling them that to their face, then I couldn’t possibly be friends with them in the first place let alone best friends! And naturally I couldn’t be friends with someone who would call me that to *my* face either. True friends respect each other.
