Good morning and a happy Bunday to everyone, and thanks for all the pics this morning.

My experience of ‘dis-homed’ domesticated cats is that they will NEVER pass a food bowl without taking a mouthful if they have been homeless for a while, even after they have been in a new home for several years. It seems that they always remember the time they had no food bowl to access. One of my cats, Jodie, had had a couple of years of poor food in her previous home, and I always said that the first thing she did after moving in with me was to put on 4lb in weight. She did end up as quite a butterball, but it did serve her well as her weight loss several years later pointed to a major medical problem.Another of my cats, my Alpha Male, Robson, would eat like a horse but was not fat, just solid muscle. He was an ex-farm cat that moved in from next door because he wanted to. A bit like Calvin he would eat more than I thought he should, but he stayed a healthy size, it was just his metabolism, it fuelled his purrsonality which shone brighter than the sun.I miss him terribly, as I do all of my lost ones.

Parakeets!! My mom raised them and “Fred” was mine and lived in my room. He talked a little, saying hello and kiss me quick! I miss having birds, but don’t have a spare room for them.

Thanks to all who came to my defense yesterday. I just find them, filter them, censor them if needed, and share them with you. I try to stay young at heart as my body ages. I confess that I thought Murray over before posting but the naughty little boy in me said “go ahead”, and I did. Again, I say, “sorry” if I offend, just skip past my postings.

Happy Sunday everyone. Still very hot in Calif..cats keeping hydrated, even the ferals. No one is moving too fast!

Sure hope it breaks soon. I have lost so many plants, just burned up. It was 112 yesterday..only 110 today! You really don’t notice the difference.

I changed my ‘cat window’ to the screen door to give my pooch a chance to let himself in and out. The heat broke in NYC but the humidity is here with lots of showers on and off. Any chore I do has me dripping wet.

‘Cousin’ Emma has been visiting all weekend…so I caught her in ‘pretzel mode’ yesterday.
