What’s worse than finding a worm in your ear of corn?…Finding HALF of a worm in your ear of corn…

The sugars in corn start turning into starches within seconds of being picked. “Pick and eat” simultaneously is best.

try this, if you have a fire pit or good grill. leave the corn husks on, and put directly over the grill. keep turning the corn until all the husk has turned brown. remove shuck and eat…so good you may not even need butter.

That’s easy for Charlene to say. She is not the one who ate the worm.

I like the idea but it is not proof of organic. It only takes a couple of insects that are resistant to whatever pesticide used to breed and start up whole, future generations resistant, living and eating on plant.

Insert ear of corn in microwave with husk on. Cut a little off the stalk end only if necessary for allowing the turntable to spin the corn around properly. Microwave on high for about 3 minutes per ear. Remove from microwave with oven mitts (I uses welding gloves that have never been outside the kitchen). Cut off about the bottom 2 rows of corn, then squeeze the top of the ear carefully. The ear should slide out the bottom of the husk. Add butter, salt and pepper to taste. Remember, the corn will be quite hot. Source – multiple videos on YouTube.
