Knox Foley attorney for the Bader family stated that Coach Gil Thorp had direct knowledge of the systematic continued " silent treatment bullying" by the Milford baseball team directed at his client , Barry " Don’t Call Me Master " Bader . Foley explained Thorp knew this silent Form of bullying was taking place and ignored it even though he asked former Milford QB True Standish to talk to the team in an effort to get them to stop. Physical threats were also alleged to have been made by Kenneth Brown son of Central City judge .The amount of damages sought is in excess of ten million dollars.Thorp when contacted said he had no knowledge and refused comment .

Saw David play his senior year at Crest. And then later Buddy Green brought him back to our old HS in Stanley NC when they were both at NCSU. They put on a private exhibition game for the ones who were playing sports at our school at that time. Had some old hotshots from our town out there with Buddy and David. Got to see him dunk for the first time– remember when he was in college it was illegal – After watching him that close up and in his prime I also I believe the old tale about him being able to grab a coin off the top of the backboard.
