What do you know, it was a dark and stormy day as the author wrote about a dark and stormy night.

What’s the point on having a doghouse if you never go inside in moments like that Snoopy? It’s a miracle that beagle hasn’t caught pneumonia by now.

We were having a thunderstorm earlier this week while eating supper and my wife looked at the nearby bookshelf, then asked "Where’s Snoopy’s “It Was a Dark and Stormy Night” book? I pointed across the room to where a couple years ago she’d moved the fiction. She said she wanted to read it, so I found it and read it aloud. The last couple days I’ve been thinking as I read these that they were repeating them because I knew I had just read these. But then I remembered reading the book to the family. She had no idea that that was the set currently on GoComics.

Interesting fact: rain in the Peanuts Movie was animated the same way Charles Schulz drew rain.

I would think that Snoopy could take his typewriter inside his doghouse.

This is why most novelists don’t sit on the roof when they work.

I think that Snoopy gets all his inspirations and imaginings while sitting on his red roofed dog house.

If he goes inside, it won’t read as well in silhouette. Artistic considerations.
