Who buries a pet in the middle of the yard?

Hard to believe that Arlo would ever allow a cat to be named anything but Ludwig. (Read Jimmy Johnson’s stories about his dad having cats all named Ludwig and why he did so.)

I read back as early as I could on this strip, and 22 years ago, in August of 1994, Fluffy was already gone. That cat was definitely a younger version of Ludwig, though I haven’t yet seen him named. But it definitely was not the cat in the strip today.

So was there a Fluffy in the strip?

I wonder if this is why Janis isn’t so close with Ludwig. She was obviously very fond of Fluffy.

I have a pet cemetery in my backyard with all of my very special beloved kitties are resting……love u all and miss u much.
