My husband makes THE best spaghetti. Part of his “secret” (which, since he almost died in 2010, isn’t a secret anymore) is setting the water with olive oil, garlic & onion, letting it boil for a while, then letting it steep…like tea…then re-boiling it for the pasta.
I noticed a filler (one paragraph “stories” back in Linotype days) to the effect that Academie Française had authorized “spaghetti” as legal to use in documents. From that time, my question was, what did they call it before then?
P.A.S.T.AI remember like around in the 1980’s comics the foxtrot made (I read like a week ago)in the chat, I saw a link and it lead to something very interesting. In the cafeteria for Peter and Paige, the lunch lady always serves things that stands for a word. (sorry if you don’t understand)like for P.A.S.T.A, s stands for spaghetti. on one of the comics in foxtrot you’ll find something about what I am saying.

He should just be glad he can even recognize what is being served. Same can’t be said when his mother makes spaghetti…

Tell the same joke until someone laughs? Why, he could write for television!

Pete sure knows his inediblini well — of course, the cafeteria’s is no worse than Andie’s!

Clearly the lunch ladies don’t have a sense of humor.
