Actually, I’m partial to Apple Fritters. I’ll pass on the bear claws.

We have a constitutional right to bear arms, but apparently we have to pay for the bear claws.

Looks like those bear claws don’t have the classic almond paste filling. Hope he isn’t one of the Charmin bears, you never see them wash their paws on those commercials…

I used to stop at a little diner every pm in SF, down near the Embarcadero. The owner-an odd looking fellow @ 50, with a paper hat and Dagwood hair-was always just closing up and always had a bear claw left over and a cup of extra strong coffee-to counter the jay I had just smoked-grill was always still hot and he’d throw the pastry on it with a big blob of that high trans fat stuff that passed for margarine. Delicious. And yes, we did “rap.” Don’t let life pass you by, kids. I’m amazed it was 50 years ago!

When I lived in Africa, there were stories in the local paper almost weekly, about who was stuck between the elephants toes,or the hippo’s teeth and if the remains were recovered by humans or hyena’s.The communal gardens at the small rural villages were favorite feeding places for the wildlife. The lions didn’t get as much press.

The natural world of the African bush was and is not Disney land.
