Lupin won´t be allowed in that room. Also they could tape it down.

Never had exactly that problem, but I did have a situation where a cat would walk across my UPS and somehow press the recessed button. I finally turned the UPS on its side and backed it against the baseboard.

Yep, there’s nothing like telling a deaf cat to stop doing something. My cats just walk on my keyboard and then who knows what I am looking at on my screen. I do my best to minimize all my browsers so there would be minimum damage to whatever they did while walking on that keyboard.

One of my boys does this (how I don’t know) when he thinks I’m not paying enough attention to him. Somehow he just walks calmly behind the back of my desk and POOF! There goes my computer shutting off.

Look at those big, innocent eyes in panel 7- would this kitty do wrong ? Falsely accused, I am confident.

Jingle Bell Katt has never shut off the computer. When she wants my attention she gets on the rolling file and scratches the bulletin board.

When you have an Urgent Assignment, you shut the cat out of the office and turn up the radio to drown out the indignant meowing and scratching at the door!

This is exactly why my power cord is attached to the underside of my desk. When you’ve cats that weigh over 6 kg apiece it’s very easy for that button to go click. That said I love the expressions on Lupin’s face, who could chastise that picture of innocence :-)

I have a battery/surge protector with that rocker switch. Taffy turned it off once. It now sits with one of those plastic crates over it. No cat, no lights out.

This is a very funny episode, and I love it (especially Lupin’s expressions). But the obvious solution would be that the computer needs to be plugged directly into a wall outlet. But now, most people are using laptops and tablets, so it’s no longer a problem.
