The one toy that my boy Vlad plays with, but won’t let me watch, is the one that I made for him out of old socks. I call the toy “socky”. I find Socky in the kitchen, living-room, closet, bedroom, bathroom, and even in the bathtub once. But the moment he sees that I am watching, he drops it and acts like nothing is going on.

This is why I don’t bother getting more than one of a given type when I get toys for my cats.

Yep lived through this scene more than once especially when I had Mozart, my 18 lb special needs kitty (he was cow hocked, pigeon toed and missing a few brain cells) – if any new toys came in the house they were all his until he was bored with them but they were instantly all his again if the other cats played with them. The No-No spray bottle was always on stand by with him :-)

My aunt’s dog had a lukewarm relationship with toys until she moved in with me and my 6 month old pup. After that teasing each other with “look what I have” was a major thing
