Transcript:
Lupin: The Woman is sewing a blanket. What's the word, Puck? Puck: Lupin, the word is "baby". ...It's a baby blanket. Woman: Puck, please move. Elvis: Can a blanket guard? Can a blanket protect? Can a blanket bite? Woman: Pucky, get down- Puck: What do you say to reports that every spool of thread is under the couch now? No needles, though. The Woman locks them away because a certain cat tries to slurp threaded needles like spaghetti. Lupin: I like to live dangerously. Woman: Guys, come away from my sewing stuff- Elvis: Can a blanket love?!

Every spool of thread is under the couch? How could that happen?
Not that it matters, really. A spool of thread is no substitute for a determined guard cat.

This is what it was like when I had 4 furry children and was doing my cross stitch, you’d move one out of the way and another would move in to “help”. My Mozart, part siamese and very similar to Elvis in personality, did once slurp a threaded needle and cost me a small fortune at the vet’s to remove it. I’m glad the current two aren’t interested in my stitching stuff

Ditto Mozart, but without the needle slurpping.

Elvis is SO protective of his role as baby guard. “Can a blanket LOVE??” that’s the real Elvis, which he generally tries to hide.

Lupin’s attitude reminds me of my Py. He firmly believed that every scrap of thread belonged to him. He had string issues. He once batted my needle tomato under the sofa.

I am glad Yum Yum ignores my cross stitch projects; however, when I am knitting, that’s an entirely different kettle of fish.

Poor Tweedlee. His mama has NO artistic bent of any kind. So his life has been devoid of needles and thread, entirely. I’m sure he’s reporting this as neglect to the authorities right now.

I don’t sew so you’d notice, but Jingle Bell Kat has been known to try to bite my buttons when she’s in my lap.

I strip copper wire for extra cash so you can imagine all the help my five give me. When I unwind spoils while watching TV it is like fishing, all of a sudden their is a tug on the line and I’ve got a huge "cat"fish on the other end. Then I have to make sure they didn’t bite off any pieces and swallow any. Yep it’s hard to get much done but it sure makes me smile.

I make kitty mats and have 3 helpers. Moose is my fabric tester. He thinks he needs to sleep on each pile of fabric or finished mats. Scooter likes to drag around the pieces I drop into the trash can next to me. Casper is always waiting for the empty thread spools to play with. He only gets them until I’m finished, otherwise I tend to step on them.

Did you see the News Story where the cat beat up a neighbor’s dog who was attacking his owner’s toddler:( The Hero cat received Dog Of The Year Award:) Sadly the dog had to be put down:(

Siamese cats were originally bred as temple guards, and were highly effective. It’s in Elvis’ nature.

I like Puck’s old look better than the new superblack. But maybe that’s another change needed for newspapers.

I love that each new page starts with the big opening panel, and then you expand it to see the rest of the story unfold. :)

I love the face on a certain cat in panel 7 who [likes] to live dangerously. Made me laugh.
The mention of needles and cats in the panel before wasn’t too uplifting, though. I know it’s just a comic, but a good point.
