If you have ever had influenza you know why it is important to have a flu shot. What most people call flu is not what I call ‘real’ flu. At 25 it knocked me out for six weeks. When you hurt so much your eyelashes hurt (actually the edge of your eyelids) you know the value of a flu shot to prevent.

That is another shot I don’t do. Did it once. Came down with the flu. I’ve only had the flu once since then and then it was just a short bout. 1 week. The dr was surprised.

I had my flu shot this morning and the final rehearsal before Saturday’s concert this evening. It is amazing how trying to keep up with the notes going by will take notice away from a sore deltoid.
