Can’t get the reply function to work. No, she’s not embarassed. She’s scared by that other trick or treater, and doesn’t want Michael to be so far behind her!
Don’t remember my older brother doing that. He was my protector in all things. Up into our teens and beyond, until his untimely death at 40. I still miss him greatly, but I still feel him watching over me at times.
My older brother was just enough older to ignore us most of the time. My younger brother was no one’s protector, so I was on my own most of the time. That’s okay. I had a great childhood and a lot of wonderful memories.
Oh well, who can blame an older brother for not wanting to get saddled with a younger sibling on a night like Halloween? My brother would try to ditch me first chance he got,but I stuck to him like glue!…..mostly just to annoy him.
The first Ninja Turtle comic debuted in 1984, and this strip debuted in 1978. I am no lawyer, but I am curious how is this comic strip copyrighted if Lynn Johnston’s husband, kids and extended family provided all the material?

she’s that embarrassed to go trick-or-treating with an insect of an older brother?

I should also say we fought like cats and dogs once in awhile, but always got over it quickly soon after.

Is Michael’s costume supposed to be a bug—or is it “not-really-a-ninja-turlte-please-don’t-sue-me”?

I know husband’s shift change two weeks prior to Halloween and then a major bitter cold front comes through Halloween evening.
