No wonder he spends two afternoons a week at a motel with the girl from the marketing department.

In the situation with Richard, the problem isn’t Lizzie staying away from Richard but getting Richard to stay away from Lizzie. The “How far?” joke seems wildly out-of-place with the set up.

Richard needs the crap pounded out of him and he won’t tattle any more.

“Ignore them and they’ll go away” doesn’t work. Never has, never will.
