Awhile ago, someone had a link posted here, to the original story. This version is somewhat different. I think the original had another lion friendly to Tarzan killing Belthar, & Nemone committing suicide.

Well that turned around pretty quick, for this story arc. So who takes over the throne? Or do they become an elected Republic and join the rest of the world?

The evil queen done in by the very animal whom she relied on. Irony at it’s best.

Belthar was known to not handle criticism well.

Didn’t suffer enough.

Didn’t need to stain his blade with blood, nor later hone it.

Maybe the Queen’s soldiers now kill the lion in an attempt (too late) to save Her Majesty?

The rescue by another lion was the ending of one of Edgar Rice Burrough’s Tarzan novels.

I believe this can be summed up in one word— KARMA!

I need to dig out my books, I seem to recall that in the original story Tarzan killed Belthar, and Nemone collapsed and died because her life was boud to the lion’s through some sort of spell.
