    A cubic foot of snow can contain about a billion snowflakes, give or take hundreds of millions or so. So Linus might be a tad off unless he means a U.K. billion, then I’d say he’s in ballpark for just his city block

    keep in mind that the two smartest characters in the gang are Linus and Marcie. At times they show intellect far beyond their years. Of course Marcie does tend to be more academically smarter than Linus while Linus tends to be theologically smarter than Marcie. But in situations like this Linus would be as likely to such statistical thinking as laid out.
