So Calvin, have you actually figured out how much a Dad makes for being a Dad? Didn’t think so.

Doesn’t matter what the polls say, the Russians will rig the election anyway

Do you want that in VHS, Betamax or Video 2000?

“Tell you what, Calvin. When you’re 75, if I’m still around, I’ll buy you one (a new VCR), how’s that?” “Oh, wonderful, I feel better already! And, oh, great news: your standing in the polls have just improved an entire one-millionth of a percent! Thanks a lot."

Today in 2016, Calvin would need a blue-ray to satisfy him. Dad’s not too worried about Calvin’s polls. He knows he has to take care of him until he’s ready to go out on his own. Calvin may be over 50 before he leaves the house. Let’s hope for Dad sake, it will be earlier.

My VCR still works great. Hooked up to a CRT television. Saw a show the other night where evidence was on a VCR tape. The detective turned around and said, “Great! now all we have to do is find somebody with a VCR!”

Sorry Calvin but you should know that polls are very unreliable !

I’ve decided that in order to “Have Something” each day, since I have The Complete Calvin and Hobbes I will post a quote from what I think we’ll be tomorrow’s strip, and then we’ll see if I’m right!

@another unicorn:and back in the day they were really expensive!it was a major purchase!not everyone could afford one!while now a dvd player can be bough for a song and a dance, back then it was 2 salaries! (25 euros now for instance for a dvd player).

The was a time when I couldn’t live without a VCR. Now I can live without modern-day television programming.

You know you are old when you clearly remember owning a VCR.
