I don’t believe in the concept of New Year’s resolutions. I believe in taking every day as it comes and trying my best to improve myself & my surroundings.
Oh yeah. The “bad thing” gets written down (words or pictures, since one isn’t writing so well yet) and tossed in the fire. Hmm…. maybe the “good thing” could get written on a brick or rock or something, and we start a “memory pile”? . . . Hmmmm…..
Children can sign before they can speak, so my daughter-in-law taught our granddaughters how to sign. One day, we were skyping with our son who was feeding our then-infant granddaughter. He stopped and reached for something off screen that he wanted to show us. After about a minute of us showing us the object, we suggested that he go back to feeding his child as she was frantically signing the “more” sign in the background.
.
My son jokingly explains how his wife teaches the kids to sign. He demonstrates the various sings and explains their meanings and that our daughter-in-law taught them. He says, “I, on the other hand, taught them one sign.” He holds his arms over his head and screams, “TOUCHDOWN.” Yes the girls learned that one early – you can’t train them too young.

I don’t even want to know what sign Paige is making that Marcus is referring to.

P.S. The kids don’t live in North Carolina with the Panthers – otherwise, they’d still be trying to learn the sign.
