Woman: So what's your son's name? Joanie: Jeff. Woman: You call him Jeffrey, I hope. Our child is named Christopher, but we wouldn't dream of calling him Chris! Joanie: Jeff's a little boy. Nicknames are easier, and, some might add, a tad less pretentious. Woman: Now, Joan... it''s Joan, isn't it? Joanie: Joanie.

Joanie is probably sitting on a bench in a Georgetown Park. Not suprised by the conversation or the pretentiousness. It’s like that in Silver Springs MD too. All window dressing and no substance….and they wonder why their kids are…. well…Anyway; it’s not good to stradle children with “keeping up with the Jones” ideals. just sayin.

You know, we’re talking about slacker Jeff here, and in hindsight Ms. Pretentious may have been spot-on with her thoughts. Just sayin’.
