Lore of the flies! Frederik Sjoberg of Sweden wrote a three volume autobiographical work about collecting flies! Paraguay is the only country with a two-sided flag! Awww! An ostrich can produce over 1500 chicks and a lifetime!
The Paraguayan flag. I cannot wait to see that on the Flag Friday segment on YouTube channel Geography Now… months from now (the alphabetize the nations and they last left off at Finland).
If you take a flag and turn one end over and stitch it to the other end then you will have a flag with only one side. It becomes a Möbius strip. All others that I am aware of have two sides.
Sjöberg, biologist and literature critic, wrote essays which were collected into three volumes Flugfällan (The Fly Trap), Flyktkonsten (The Art of Escape or Escape Art) , and Russinkungen The Raisin King. Ripley’s researcher has missed here.
Wikipedia has an article “Flags whose reverse differs from the obverse” . Paraguay might currently be the only country with a flag reverse different from the obverse, but it hasn’t always been so. And some non-country divisions have flags that are such.

Uhhh. Don’t all flags have two sides?

It must be on the flag that the seal in the center is different on each side. Otherwise, I think all flags have 2 sides.

Three volumes about collecting flies? A short essay would long enough.

There was an old ostrich who lived in a shoe. She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do.

Paraguay must like to have pair-o’-everything.

Oregon is the only state flag with two sides. It has the shield from its state’s seal on the front and a picture of a beaver on the back.

If you need something to soothe you to sleep, I suppose that fly collecting series of books would do the trick.

I’d like to borrow that fly collection, and take it fishing.

I would like to introduce Mr. Sjoberg to Mr. Renfield who’s very interested in flies.
