Bologna flakes! So Christmasy!

Your right, Petey. There ain’t no balogna in Heaven - or at least my vision of Heaven. But there might be pastrami, corned beef & ham.

Someday when I have time, I’ll tell you about bologna soup and why SWMBO doesn’t let me in the kitchen.

You’ve gotta admire a strip that uses the word “bologna”.

I tried to spell it “baloney” but the editor set me straight.

I prefer the “baloney” spelling because it’s funnier and it also means “nonsense”. But a trustworthy editor informed me at some point early on that “bologna” is correct for cold cuts. Any way you slice it it’s still baloney.

Richard, The third panel is one of the best third panels ever in comics…. does heaven rain cheese curds?

Richard, I was brought up to call it baloney. Only lately have I started hearing balogna, perhaps since living in the States.

But even Captain Kirk’s dialogue in a particular Star Trek episode had him saying, “….baloney and a hard roll for myself….” Hmmmm.

Maybe it all depends on who’s doing the editing.

Yeah, I pronounce it buh-LO-nee. It’s just the spelling where i need help. And as it’s from Italian, the G is silent (I guess).

Did Capt. Kirk say that? Being ham-like, it describes Shatner pretty well too.

Of course, Shat is Canadian, too, which may explain it.

Well, Richard, I hope it’s raining BEEF bologna, not that horrible chicken-turkey-sawdust-junk bologna they sell in so many stores now.

I’m STILL a beef bologna aficionado…

Or even worse: pickle pimiento loaf.
