The cat didn’t go after the mailman, just the mail. What a horrid idea with the kitty carrier anyway?

What do you expect from cats. They’re all evil.

Well, I have to say, mine is named Pooka for a reason. He’s full of mischief. He’s an indoor cat though and probably would freak out at a “stranger” outdoors. Indoors, he’s Mr. Sociable. If any contractors come to the house, he has to watch whatever it is they’re doing (mostly to their amusement).

He’s also 15 pounds so I don’t think I’d want to lug him around in a body carrier. I’m thinking of getting one of those strollers…

The mailman is amazed that he still has all of his digits!

Had neighbors about 50 years ago who had to put their mailbox by the sidewalk (instead of next to the front door) after their German Shepherd literally came through the screen door to attack the letter carrier. USPS did not take kindly to that and insisted they move the mailbox or they did not get their mail delivered.

Those credit card applications need to be shredded anyway.

I think the reason a lot of dogs go crazy with mail carriers is because of the daily routine. Think about it, the mail carrier comes every day, the dog barks like mad, and they go away. So doesn’t the dog learn that if they bark or charge that they’ll go away?

I think Opal is getting weird with her cat. She could just take Roscoe for a walk because the cat gets to run around outside anyway, doesn’t it?

Only control freaks OWN cats… It was junk mail anyway…

Are you serious, Vegas Viper? A cat does whatever the hell it wants to, so a control freak would, well, freak about it. (That’s why, historically, tyrants prefer dogs.) Having a cat is one of the most beneficially humbling experiences in life…up there with being married. :)

We had a dog that barked at anyone wearing a uniform–including the mail carrier.

Knowing my cat, I can’t imagine how she got her kitty into that contraption without drugging it. 8-[

You can’t carry cats in anything made of fabric without their cooperation. If Muffin wanted out, a half-turn and climbing Opal like a tree would be a matter of seconds. Some cats are more patient with stuff like this than others, but most have a breaking point. And it often comes without warning.

VegasViper, I agree with Scaaty-423. In my neighborhood, the bullies own ridiculously untrained dogs and think they’re god’s gift.

My cat doesn’t know what “outside” is unless he sits in an open window. No birds or chipmunks eaten at this house. He has the run of the house otherwise. Literally.
